Minnesota VRS Participant Path

Status checked against official Minnesota DEED pages on September 21, 2026. Requirements can change; confirm them with VRS.

Current status

Loptr Lab is not currently represented as a Minnesota VRS Community Partner, contracted provider, or guaranteed funding source. This repository may be presented to a VRS counselor as a proposed training option. It is not itself an authorization.

Participant path

  1. Connect with Minnesota VRS. Use the official VRS information page or interest form.
  2. Complete eligibility and employment planning. Tell the counselor the employment goal, disability-related barriers, needed accommodations, and why this curriculum may be useful.
  3. Give the counselor the review packet. Provide the repository link and the materials on the participant-agency-review branch when available.
  4. Ask for a written determination. Ask whether the activity is necessary for the employment goal, what service category applies, who may provide it, what costs may be covered, and what records are required.
  5. Wait for written authorization. Do not describe participation as VRS-funded, referred, or approved before receiving a written answer from VRS.
  6. Keep private records private. Send benefit, medical, housing, financial, disability, or case documents only through the channel designated by VRS—not GitHub.
  7. Report changes. Follow the counselor’s instructions for attendance, progress, work activity, wages, self-employment, and changes in income.
